A raamblings utility
YouTube → MP3
A video link in. An audio file out. Keep the sound for listening, rehearsal, or your next project.
How it works
- Paste a link to one public video and choose your output quality.
- An isolated worker downloads the best available source audio and encodes an MP3 at your chosen quality.
- Save the finished file using the download button. You can close the page while it is processing and return using the recovery link.
About the output
The source sets the quality ceiling. Best quality uses variable bitrate; 320 kbps is the highest fixed bitrate option. Neither restores detail already lost in the source recording.
Use videos you own or have permission to download. Playlists, private, age-restricted, paid, live, or otherwise restricted videos are not supported. YouTube may decline a download.
A temporary workspace
Accepted jobs run independently of this browser tab. Queueing and worker startup can take a little time; updates reconnect automatically after a temporary connection loss. Files are kept for up to six hours and are accessible through their recovery link. Processing has a four-hour deadline, and files exceeding 1 GiB cannot be delivered.
